Always Work Hard 12x12 scrapbook

I scrapbook allot about myself, and Wiola. Sense I got sick I really feel that scrapbooking about the ups and downs helps. I document when it feels like shit bu also when it feels better. I'm making these pages so later on if I'll get worse I can see what made me better or jut that it goes up and down.
This page is about how working out (the right way) really has helped. That I'm stronger in every way and that I'm so happy about that!

I wanted to make a page that seemed happy, like how i was feeling. The background is just left over paint and some inks. Then I wanted to layer a bunch of doilies under the photo. Definitely gong to do that again!

The papers and embellishments are Pink Paislee "C'est La Vie"
and the title is Crate Paper and Amy Tangerin.

"YES" A4 scrapbook using WeRMK "Wildflower"

Sometimes I just have an idea that I really want to try, a pretty photo or to play with pretty papers. When I was making this page the story, prompted by a journaling card, started to take shape. I have been so focused on starting with a story, making sure I don't just spit out pages that I now just needed to play. And you know what, I love how it looks and what it is about.

"Come Away with me" YES that I want to!
Don't we all sometimes feel that longing of just leaving it all and travel far away. Well a bit away any way. I have had that wanderlust now for month, longing for a break and just a change. But I wouldn't leave it all behind, W is of course invited to my imaginary adventure.

"Day Dreams" 12x12 scrapbook

I day dream, when Wiola and I walk and think about how it would be if we where to start competing in Rally, if we where to move, build our own house. If I could make a living, doing what I love. We all have different things we go around thinking about, what we would do if...
So I thought I would take a moment to document just what I'm dreaming about now at 22.

The page is quite simple, not much product but I wanted to keep it light, let the background show.
The kraft cardstock is painted with white and a grey acrylic paint and then silver splatters. I thought it looked like a sky and how perfect is the for the "head in the blue" so I draw some clouds and stitched. That took longed then I care to admit but I love it!
This page is one of my favorite, so many elements coming together, like this tag. I wanted a tag with the title so i stamed using the oh-so-cute stamp set from Paiper Projekt, a dymo word and subtile is a strip from Tim Holtz "small talk".
What is with the animals here, every time!!
But she really is cute, isn't she!

Keeping the photo cluster light and small means that the background will have a bigger role. Here I really get the feeling of night and dreams without it being a dark or heavy background. I hope you like this page and that it inspired you to document your day dreams!

Project Life week 35

Hello and happy Tuesday!

I have a new project life process video to show you but it´s only "my" week and not the puppies. My camera shot of during the puppy part BUT I do have photos!

Week 35 look like this.
I have started to see a pattern in ow I do my week, 3 4x6 and one of them is of the sky/ nature. 2 3x4 and a mix of color and black and white.  Now the card I have is (4x6) wood grain from yours truly, the first 3x4 is from My Mind´s Eye- Blush and I made it a while back. It has a poem made out of words from an old book that I cut out and put into a "poem". The seconed is from Becky Higgins DIY kit.
I really like this page, the colors and the studio Calico wood hearts! The hearts and arrows and the letter stickers from Panduro is my go to stuff. I have made several weeks with just that.

For the puppy page I tried something different... More color and just more stuff. The title card I made on water color paper with Gelatos and gold spray. I then stamped the week, added washi-tape and journaled. The gold studio Calico heart just had to finish it. I used the purple letter stickers on this page with arrow and cold flowers.

In the end I like this page but not crazy for it. I think it´s the second 3x4 card with the cold resin flowers and the washi-tape. It just doesn´t look good. I´m seriously thinking about changing out that card...
This was my week 35 and I have already started on week 36! Now I love Mondays and Tusedays because that is my project life days! Now have a great week and I hope to see you all of Friday for part 4 of project Wilna!

Project Life week 34

                                                        *Process video!*

Hello happy Tuesday everybody! I hope you have had a great weekend and feel ready to take on this week.
I thought, sens it´s Tuesday, I´d sheer my project life week 34 with you.

So here is my process for right now. One layout for MY week and one layout for the puppies. I want to have them in my album (I´m making a mini PL album for my mom) but I don´t want to have them in MY week. I want their pages so all of the focus is on them.
So here is my week 34. As you can see I mix black & white with color, corner with rounded edges and "pretty" photos with Iphone photos. I´m just happy I´m getting it in the album.

I keeped it rather clean, just washi-tape, letter sticker and resins/ wood veneers.
The PL cards I used are from DIY value Kit and the 4x6 are from my own Blush mini kit
Same thought with the puppies week 5 page. Here are all the cards from the DIY value kit and then some letter stickers and Studio Calico wood veneers.

This photos I desaturated quite allot. This room is pine and that gets really orange on camera (depending on what time it is) so to not get this page be all orange that is what i did.

I hope you liked this spread and have a great week and see you next Tuesday for week 35!

August kit layout 3- Eton

Hello everyone!                                                                        *Here is the video!*
I´m back with another layout made from my august-scrap-kit.
I´m going to be really honest with you now: I love Prima stuff but this paper I really, really don´t like! I like the idea if it, mixed media-ish with doily and ink splatters, but it just looks like a hot mess (so those the other papers in this collection too) And now you think: But if you don´t like it why do you have it, and use it?. Well I got the paper in one of those "mystery bags" and I´m going to use it because I love a challenge!

So I started with my photo (the photo is not that good, dark and bleary so it looks like he only has three legs, oh my) Then I took out scraps from the kit and that was laying around, started to add layers. Now like I said before I´m not crazy over the mixed media feel because I think it looks like a mess but I decided to embrace it!

Adding black to contrast and interest one of my favorite "tools", no matter how bad it is, adding black works 9 out of 10 times. Like the stamp, so easy to build a pattered! (from Prima, Optimist collection)

I just though to mention something that I do really like sens I was a bit negative in the beginning. And that is this stamp set. I got it to a good prize and it so versatile, I´ve used it on all of the layouts and I know I will continue to use it allot in the future. Stamps really are investments.
In my video I shoe you how you can make this super simple mixed media look with just washi-tape and some stamps. I know there is allot of people that are a bit afraid of the hole mixed media and if you are, starting with just a border with washi-tape and some stamps might be perfect for you...

Now when I look at this layout I don´t hate it, but nether do I love it.  I think it´s a really good layout where I really had to think about it and solve a problem. Would I do the this layout the same way if I got the same paper and photo? I think not, but I enjoyed making it and in the end I had a good time. I said before that I don´t make layouts in first hand to remember a moment. I scrapbook because I love the mix of paper, paint and photos, if I then later have albums filled with memories that is a amazing bonus.

album for Barock

The video is HERE

Hello!

So the other day I was looking trough my desk draws and happened to find an old 8*8 album about my late horse, Barock. It only had 3 layouts and I thought that it would be fun to finish it. Now I haven´t worked on a 8*8 sens I started on this album and that was years ago, so that was the first challenge. And the second I think is rather obvious...
Starting on an album about someone that you loved so much and now have past away is really hard, especially when this album is already started on. Bu now I really wanted to finish it and I think that no matter how hard I try I will never be 100% happy with is.
So I just told myself that I  was just going to play with the photos that I had and anything will be better then nothing.  So I packed up my little blue basket, added a 8*8 pad and 2 6*6 pad took my camera and went out side.
This layout you see me starting on in the video but my camera cuts it of. So this photo already had a layout that I decided to take apart. I like this one better with the black and the colors I used on the other layouts.
This one I went with a more green feel with some orange.
This is the layout that I started on, it´s my favorite photo of him and I wanted it really clean so just a white background and a blue paper that I made with distress markers. The juornaling tag is from Primas "Sea shore" 3*4 and I just stuck it under so the boat is hidden.
Using that same paper and embellishments makes it so easy to create different layout that tie together. Here is that 8*8 paper as base (I have know idea what the pad is called but it´s very pink, green and blue) than a 4*6 atc from prima "sea shore", doily and that black lace washi-tape. Simple layout where the atc card also work as the title.
This layout the camera cut out too... But same though, 8*8 as base, doily and black. That {create memories} is from a prima packaging. and the camera from rhonna design app.
So I have 5 more layout to make and I have put some photos in my "photos to print" folder. But so far I really like it, just going to add the journaling but I think I will wait for that till I have the other layouts. I´m glad that I found this and that I have started to work on it. I hope you like it and that you like the VIDEO, have great day

Cover your photo

Happy weekend everyone!

Today I have a layout to share with you. I really like it but something went really wrong and now I just... hugh! Any way I can start of with telling you what I do like about it. I was so inspired by this video by luv2scrapinva and the way she made here own paper with just paper-strips! So I thought that is a great way to use up some scraps, witch is good sens I´m on a mission to do just that!

So I cut up paper into 1cm strips and started gluing (I made some 4*6 and 3*4 card too) But it was a bit to bright so I did a white wash and some modeling past. I wanted the colors to go together with the colors in the photo. And after adding all of the white it got so much better!
I wanted that pink-ish color so I took out a 4*4 card that I had made in the rhonna deisgn app. The journaling (I have journaling!) I just wrote on a white piece of paper and put it over. I used some black lace washi tape to "frame" in and the some red pearls, they are more like a red-orange color. I like the black and red with the pastel colors, maybe tring that again....
And here is where it went wrong... I just had to have some black ink splatter and didn´t cover my photo... And sure enough I got ink on my photo and when I tried to whip it away it only got worse...
So now the photo that had such lovely colors now looks really dirty and some of it came of so I have a white spec on my forehead.
On the hole I like the fresh feel of it and that it´s not so matchy with the black, red and the pastel colors. I am happy with it and next time I will cover my photo!!!

Svea- The Queen

*new video HERE*

Hello everyone! Today I have a layout to show you and just so you know; I love It!
The reason you why you can feel surprise in my voice is because I used a sketch and I normally have a hard time with them, so you can understand how happy I am now when it look so good! The sketch I was inspired by was Primas- BAP (Build-A-Page)

I grabbed my Prima papers, bling and leafs, put on some music and just had a really good time with inks and allot of paint.

And as you all now I´m on a mission to use up my scraps, all the papers are Prima but from 3 different collections; "Romance Novel" (the only 12*12) the rest is scraps from: "Sea Shore" and "Time Travelers memories" .
I´m so happy with this black flowers with the gold edge, even the leafs got a slab of gold on them
The layers behind the photo is packaging from different collections, I have to say that I love that Prima makes such cute packaging so you can use it and don´t just through it away.
Here she is, The Queen, on the windowsill. I took this photo a while back but she is always sitting on the windowsill, odd cat.
The "Time travelers memories"- bling fits perfect!

I hope you like it and if you want to see how I put this together check out this video: *HERE*

Summer-Book 3 July

Hello!
Today I have a new video to share with you! I thought it would be fun to show you how I work on my book. This page is more scrapbook feel with papers from" Portobello Road from My Mind´s Eye".
On the photo I took some glossy accents so it looks like the water-drops are laying on the photo.

 Check out the video: HERE!
The Quote is from the Rhonna Design app
