12x12 scrapbook: Hunting for Treasure using Felicity Jane kit

I love treasure hunting. Going to different second hand shops and flea markets to see if we can find some treasures. Now a treasure for me may be rubbish for you, but that is the charm with it!

This page is from one of those hunting day me, my sister, brother and cousin had a few month ago. We went to a huge, HUGE, flea market hosted by the local soccer club. We had a really fun day and I did find some treasures! You can read and see more photos in this blogpost

Sjötofta 12x12 using Felicity Jane

Let's continue this weekend with a few process videos of the travel pages. Here is one I made of a trip we made in april to look at a farm of daffodils. It was so pretty, and cold but mostly pretty!

I used the Felicity Jane June kit and I knew I wanted to use the greenish/yellowish paper and the wood-vener on this photo. I kept it rather simple and let the photos tell me where they wanted to be and then filled in with the title and journaling.

I so like how this page turned out, the colors and the title (!)
and the just a bit of Heidi Shine to break up all of the lines.

This kit has been such a joy to work with and I think this is one of my absolut favorits!

Midsommar 12x12 scrapbook using Felicity Jane

Midsommar is one of our biggest traditions in Sweden right after Christmas and New year. Midsommar is really a celebrations of the sun and summer, living in the north that is truly worth celebrating!

We have out tradition for celebrating and as I have mentions before, I hardy ever scrapbook events. So I really made an effort and now I thinks it's fun and i wanted to scrapbook this big celebration we do every year, where we are and with who we are with.

I used the June Felicity Jane kit, I just love the flowers and the soft pink color. The background is a Heidi stencil of plus-signs and the gold modeling past so pretty!

FJ Happy Day Kit 12x12 scrapbook page

I get very inspired by colors and fun color-schemes. Colors that make me think and makes me happy. Like the colors in Suse's kit for Felicity Jane. I love that lavender blue color and with those soft pinks it really made me want to create.

I had a very clear plan when I started this page, I wanted the colored cardstock as a background with some with paint and the vellum shapes and sequins sewn in a "reef" around the photo.

Starting with such a specific plan scars me a bit, I'm not very good at following directions even if they are me own but it turned out really nice!

Fall Traveler's notebook + Kit

I love to work in this "new" format of the traveler's notebook. I like that it is long and narrow, not to big but yet you can fit allot. I like to make them and the work with them.
I did one for this summer (that still have not filmed...)  and I thought it would be fun to make one for fall. This time I made it out of pattered paper and vellum. I used the paper pad "Willson Wood" what I like about this pad is that many papers lend it self to be cut up and made into embellishments.

For my fall insert I put togheter a mini kit, the paper pad, some phrase stickers from Crate Paper "craft market", alpha stickers (the little that is left) from Maggie Holmes "shine" and some home made leafs using Lawn Fawn dies.
I made these by punching out the reefs, fussy cutting the critters and then adding a phrase sticker. I think they turned out really cute and I think they will add some consistency trough out the book.
I had picked stickers and alphas that are gold and a copper washi... I like to mix and i think these warm metallic work so nice in fall. I also added these die cuts that I got earlier this week, I wanted some more "pretty" and sens they had that copper they where perfect!

I keep my pretties on a little tray and can easily pick what I want when I want it.

Here is the cover and my tray, I really like the products I have picked and I work in the book when I get a bit of time. I hope to record the change into fall, every-day things and also some lists from Andreas class.
In the paper pad I picked there is a sheet filled of critters that are just so cute, and I cut them out. It took hours but I think they are truly adorable!
Here is a page I have started, big photo and a photo strip and some hopefully some journaling...

That is what I've got so far, I really like it and can't wait to fill it up!

Scrapbook haul- Felicity Jane & Pyhobby.se

Is there any thing better to find in your mailbox then happy-mail? This week I got my order from Pyhobby.se and the July and August kits from Felicity Jane.
The July kit was design by the lovely Suse Fish and I think I might do a mini with this kit...

The August kit, called "Maggie" has a very fun and fresh feel. What I will do with it, as of now I have no idea but it will be very fun to play with.

A very spontaneous order from pyhobb.se but this paper pack "Tales from Willson Wood" was just too cute! Think I want to make a TN insert, and cut all of those cute critters out!!

Champions 12x12 scrapbook using Felicity Jane

I have really loved working with the Felicity Jane kit; "Next Stop" the colors and elements are so vivid and fun! My favorite part had to be the letters and I knew I wanted to do a page with a big title.

This page is about my mom and our little Majken, on the photos they had just passed their last test in order to become tracking champions. My mom really didn't get a diploma for making Majken a champion so I wanted to make her one, in my own way, telling her that she really is a champion!

"Captured" 12x12 scrapbook using Felicity Jane -note to self kit

I had so much fun making this page from Midsommar. Starting with watercoloring a flower reef and then adding photos, pretty papers and journaling. I took inspiration from the photos and actually started the page on the same day as I took these selfies. I wanted a page that really said; Midsommar!

The Felicity Jane -note to self kit is really growing on me and the more I use it the more I like it. the colors and patterns fitted perfectly as did the stamp set.

ACT 12x12 scrapbook using Felicity Jane -Note to self kit

My one little word for 2016 is Agera, Act & Agir.
This word is something that I think about often and it really has helped and motivated me to do more.  I wanted to make a page now, half way through he year, of how it's working. How choosing to keep one word in mind can make a big difference.

I picked a photo of myself and also a photo printed on vellum. I wanted to go with the colors in the photo, pink and emerald green. The Felicity Jane "Note to self" kit was just perfect for this.
I used pink elements from the kit to frame the page. I didn't use much material to make this page it still makes an impact. The layered papers, the stitching and the different levels of transparency adds texture and interest.
The leafs are cut out with a die set from Maggie Holmes "Confetti" from emerald green water-colored paper. I finished the page but came back the next day and added the leafs. I just feel like was dead before...and then some Gold Heidi Shine splatters to finish the page of.

The sentiments in the "Note to self" kit is just perfect. I stamped a bunch on printed labels and used them on everything. I like that the kit doesn't just comes with great products but also prompts to tell your stories.
A pink puffy heart to end the journaling about my word. A stain on the bottom of the page, compliments of Wiola while photographing the page...

I love how this page came out, not just because of how it looks but also it tells an importen story.
