Champions 12x12 scrapbook using Felicity Jane

I have really loved working with the Felicity Jane kit; "Next Stop" the colors and elements are so vivid and fun! My favorite part had to be the letters and I knew I wanted to do a page with a big title.

This page is about my mom and our little Majken, on the photos they had just passed their last test in order to become tracking champions. My mom really didn't get a diploma for making Majken a champion so I wanted to make her one, in my own way, telling her that she really is a champion!

the Crate paper "Hello Love" Marathon

Today I  have a longer process video, doing four pages. Why you might wounder. Well, when I got the "Hello Love" I told myself that I had to use it up before march... I didn't so earlier this week I sat down. pulled out some photos I wanted to scrap and just dug in.

I love doing it this one, just letting go using what ever with out thinking if I should save this or that. I had so much fun and loving the pages! I had two "guidelines" 1 was just to use all of these pretty papers and 2 was to use my sewing-machine. Now when I knew I was going to have a marathon I just placed it on my desk and I used it on every page!

The first page I love!!! Inspired by a pattern in the collection I cut the papers in different angels and sew around them 

 This page is about our process in rally-o and what we still need to work on. I love these tiny wood vener letters from Studio Calico and they just spell out the date and #Rally Wiola

 The bold gold glitter word is from Maggie Holmes "Open Book" collection from last year and it goes so well with my favorit leaves! 

 I like using black as an accent color, it makes the layout pop and bumbing up the contrast

 The second page is a easy and clean page with two big layers and all the 

embellishments on the photo.

 I punched out some hearts and played with some stickers and then the page was done!

 Also here I have sewn around it really adds allot. Love how simple is it, 

have to scrap-lift my self later...

 With a gold striped background and a piller of die-cuts, this one is not clean and easy. But it is fun.

Here I really wanted to use all of those pieces that I have been looking at fore the past month but haven't found a place for them. Now They have one, all on the same place! 

 This page is about how much I love my mum and how happy I am when we get to spend some time alone together, like this snowy day. 

 Also this page I thoink would be super easy to scrap-lift and get a totally different result. 

Last page from the epic "Hello Love" marathon, and also this one I'm super happy with. The page is about when we where at My Dog to show baby Majken and baby Laban (Majken- Best In Breed puppy) Here I layed out some paint samples that happened to match perfectly!

 More sewing and some wood

 I added some black & white washi over and under the photo, just to ground it and to add more of that black.

"Julia at 22" scrapbook page

This year I turning 22 at  January the 22nd. 

I hardly ever scrapbook my birthday, but I do sometimes make a letter page to myself. 

A "pretty" page with a hide letter to my older self. 

The page started with a watercolor background from one of my late night watercolor sessions (this one inspired of my dream kitchen floor). 

 I don´t have many nice photos of me even though my mom loves her camera, she just loves pointing it really close to flowers or stones... But on my birthday, we where both having a "free day" and she took some photos of me and Majken. (W is not in them sens she was licking my knees...)

 The letter is quit long and I didn't want to think about the length fitting on the page so I wrote it on another paper and put in a envelop, really pionting out the letter feel.

The letter is about how I am now, what I like to do and how my health is and what I have planed. 

 A tag rescued from my scrap-bin, perfect for the layout the the calendar pieces.  

 My first thought was to keep it simple but how can do that? So I through all my favorit things on the page and I like it, it's very Julia 2016!

lfe Hello Beautiful kit: project life week 46

I don´t very often add news things in my PL but I couldn´t leave out what happened in Paris last week. Paris for me is a dream, France is a dream and what happen there was a nightmare. But I wanted to have it in my album, hidden. The sn@p pockets are perfect and this way it´s there but it´s not the first thing you´ll see.

I have to say it was a bit hard to focus on the good things for this week after Paris but here are 2: Majken did so well on our trick training and I reached 15% fluently in french!

Lfe kit: Hello Beautiful- beautiful

Following a sketch is, for me. so hard! The story behind this layout is that I started whit it late one night, stopped to be able to record the process to day after. So I took a photo of the layout to glue it all down later... Oh good grief,  my head was like, "but put it here", "try it here" "why not some paint?!" I had to keep remind myself that the work is DONE! just glue it down...

The day after, in daylight, I started whit some blue mist for the background, and the mat it on craft. Here it´so clear how hard my brain had whit this, did I trim the background? No! I always to this, but I just couldn´t think straight...

 But my brain did think; " I LOVE a pink tassel!

 ...and copper-glitter leafs. I love those!"

 After having added the journaling my thought process started to come back and I finished it whit some gold "Heidi Shine"

In the end I´m so happy whit how it turned out and I´m so glad I didn´t change it.

lfe kit: Hello Beautiful: Darling

So here we have the Like For Ever kit for November, 

the main is Maggie Holmes new line; "Shine". That is, the papers (12 sheets), the stickers, alpha stickers and a roller phrase stamp. In the kit is also a big wood word from Heidi Swapp vellum pockets from Amy Tangerin and 2 rolls of grey washi from Pebbles.

 

Now, honestly I have made a few layouts whit this kit but I found it very challenging. There is no embellishments here more the the sticker sheet and the word. Now I  don´t think its a bad idea to "dip into" your stash but when buying a kit I sort of want that kit to be enough...  I had wished that there had been something more dimensional rather then plasticy washi... I don´t know maybe I´m just really cranky but I´m going to work whit this kit, just going to use more from my stash then last month!

 Is now the time to say that "Shine" is not my new favorite line? to soon? 

For the first layout I cut it down to an A4 from this sort of starry +-sign pattern. I do love that they had a navy paper ( I would have loved a pretty floral) So I matted the photo on the navy,the back side, the striped, a doily and the backside of the + pattern. 

 I love navy, I also love lilac so I decided to add both here, tassels, a Magnolia butterfly and some mist-splatter

 I have a rather big stack of tassels, don´t judge. I make them super easy from embroidery yarn and some gold string. The journaling here I felt would be lost on this black&white paper so I wrote it in a shipping tag, added some "black tie" twine from Lawn Fawn

 The phrase stamp (best part  of the kit) I added in the background, making the phrases part of the design. I also added some of the washi behind the photo, as layers. I have a hard time to use washi and this glossy, plasticy is not my favorite. But I will use them!

Acorn Avenue kit: Happy Girl+ Tacksam

I love watercolors. that is a fact. For you how didn´t know I paint... allot and watercolors are my favorite medium. Sorry oil tubes that are hidden away. So on this day I just wanted to play whit them on a layout. 

I won´t wright to much about this page, as you most likely have seen the video but I can just say that adding those black ink-drops really made the page come to live- contrast!!

 This layout turned out to be one of my favorites and of course I didn´t record it... But I can still show it to you. I started whit a painted craft cardstock, I have few ready to go, painting many in one sitting. Here I have one in sort of a midnight blue and I really wanted to work whit that feel.

 Splattering some "Heidi shine" in gold makes the "stars" and the banners are from the layout before but here I stitched them in to 3 banners to drape on the page. The journaling are typed in my typewriter and cut in to strips. This way the journaling is easy to read but doesn´t feel heavy.  

I love this blue background whit the purple color and layering it under my photo makes it really pop. I´m just so happy whit how this turned out, so fun!

Acorn Avenue kit: Lilla Damen

I recently got my very on Big Shot and I just love it!! I had a few dies that I got years ago but the first that I bought was the "Stitched Leaves" from Lawn Fawn. I think they are so pretty and can work year round. So I started cutting them out and decided to use the negative.

I wanted a soft and fresh feel so a white background whit so "tattered rose" and Heidi Shine in gold. I love this colors whit craft very feminine. 

 I didn´t want allot of embellishments, but let the wow-factor be on the negative leaf piece. 

 I used that clear tag that I wasn´t to sure about, but so perfect here. 

 How cute isn´t she? the story here is about just how pretty she always is even though she is chewing on a cut-off deer foot...

Together DIY 12*12 scrapbook process

Do you you save your scraps? Where do you keep them?

In a drawer or sort them by color... I used to have a desk drawer for scraps but found that while it got fuller I didn´t look in it. Now I store my scraps on the paper-pad it came from. It works for me sens I keep looking in them and I tend to by my paper in pads rather then by sheet. How ever I do keep a tin next to my desk for tiny pieces and it from that tin today´s layout came from. 

I know some find it hard to work whit scraps and scraps from different lines and brands. This layout came together thanks to some papers ended up next to each other while I was looking through my tin. "Thous looks cute together!"

I really like to work whit b&w photos because then you can pick what ever color you want and you can pick more and bolder color sens it want clash whit the photo.

This flowers I painted, scanned and printed. 

Love how the watercolor look works whit the patterned paper.

really do need another sheet!

I really like the fun feel this layout has, just as Majken and Kerstin in the photo. This is the last "DIY" layout. The last couple of weeks I have been focused on making my own embellishments, painting more and using more from my stash. Now I feel more creative and like to use my own things. I hope you have liked this, the layouts and videos. Hopefully you have found some ideas and felt inspired. 

My next project is almost done, just a few more layout to film, and then I 

will be working whit a kit from my stash. I hope you will stop by to check it out!

"Where do you sleep?" A4 scrapbook process

So the other day I was looking through my email trashcan for a email, but found that I subscribe to Simple Stories and in one of their emails was a link to some really cute printables. I hardly ever print that kind of stuff because my printer and I don´t get along, but for that dog I just had to!!

I went whit A4 and a stong pink background matted on a diagonal B&W from Maggie Holmes "Confetti". The elements from the printable are so cute, I printed page 6 and used all but 2 elements! and  between you and me, I would love a hole sheet of the dog and the flower circle! 

 I mean, look at that dog! so cute. I really enjoyed working on this layout, using cute things that are perfect for "life"

 I printed on a laser paper 250g witch takes the color better and feel more... real then regular copy-paper.

 Where do you sleep?- Var sover du? 

 Here you can print this cuties! 

 The elements that I had left I saved for my project life week 34. And they worked prefect for PL as well! In my PL I put in cute photos of my dogs, my baking and painting and also what I read and listen too. (Miss Fisher and Persuasion)

 As well as the printed stuff I used Simple Stories "Sn@p" labels in pink

 A little cluster on the bottom of the week card of label, printed doughnut, punched heart and pink glitter letters from Heidi Swapp

 Don´t forget, I obsessed about this girl!

In short, I love this printable and even though it´s intended for their "Life Documented" planner it works beautifully on both scrapbook layouts and Project Life pages!
