Home Sweet Home 12x12 home decor using Pink Paislee

A few month ago I made this 12x12 layout, inspired by a previous painting I had made and the paper piecing/ embroidery technique of Elsie. I picked the 6x6 paper pad from the "C'est la Vie" by Pink Paislee, love that line!  I love the colors and patterns of that line and they make beautiful houses!

After cuting out the shapes I stitched with matching colors and added a title; Hem Ljuva Hem, or as you might know it; Home Sweet Home.

I framed it with this black frame from Prima Marketing and it now hangs next to my desk so I can see it everyday! That colors are just so sweet and the stitching adds just a bit of texture.

Easter DIY Decor

Easter, I love Easter! That it's officially spring, the fun colors and not to forget, all the candy!!
In Sweden we have this tradition of bringing in branches and decorating them with eggs and feathers. why? I have no idea but we have always done it and probably always will...  But for this year I will make some new decoration!

I wanted to change out the old feathers for some cute tassels and make the eggs a bit more glamours!

I'm so happy with how it turned out, all glittery and colorful!!
I really like when you can make something really pretty with so few and simple steps and I even have plans for those tassels later on...

Happy Easter to you

"Home Sweet Home"

I think that you all know by now that I am a big Live with prima fan and today´s project is inspired by Frank Garcia´s Tresors De La Mer class. I just love the idea of altered sea shells. So I took a small frame, painted it white, distressed it and went to town with my glue-gun.
The roses are lavender pearl (you can see how to make them Here ) and the shells are painted with a white acrylic paint and then sprayed with blue and pink mists.
Book-pages, tyll, lace, roses, shells and pearl = Shabby Chic. So to balance it out I took a metal piece and made the title in my dymo, this contrast will make more interest.
The pearls are from Panduro and I took the white and the light pink ones. The tiny roses, I left the greens on just so that not everything is white and lilac.
I just love how the shells turned out! I hope you all like it, and watch Live with Prima!

A little country sign

Happy Friday everyone! Today I have a little sign to show you made with the Country Escape collection from Panduro. In the background I have used a lace mask from panduro with Acrylic modeling paste .  I don´t know what the sign will say jet but until that it hangs in my craft space and is looking pretty.

I hope you like it

Vintage Memories- Cheval

It´s April! Britta was out a full night last night (tonight she sleeps inside, I´m not used to her sleeping out. baby steps...) so the spring has come to Sweden!
Today I have a Layout to shear with you that I made after watching a Live With Prima class with Limore Webber and the class was: Vintage Memories.
I just love the Live With Prima if not just to have them talking in the background when I´m crafting. Anyway the main thing that I took with me after her class was that she doesn´t glue the edges. This way you can add more stuff under and keep layering. So I gave it a try and I´m so in love with the result!

I just love making this kind of LO, the ones that you do just to try out a new technique or medium. Because even if the LO doesn´t turn out perfectly you still have something to be proud of.

The papers are all Prima and from Marin Smith- Romance Novel collection. I have wanted this papers for ever and that the scrapbook fair this weekend I found 2 sheet so I got them but I would love to have more from this and Marion's other collections.

And don´t forget to check out my latest youTube video ;)

Fair-time!- Hem & Trädgårdsmässa

O yes it´s that time of the year; Fairs!
I what better then to start of the season with the "Hem & trädgårdsmässan"(Home & garden fair) in Åhaga  Borås?!

I convinced my aunt to go with me... I wasn´t very hard. She has as of last year a summer house and she is redoing it from floor yo sealing and I thought this would be perfect for her!

We have such similar taste it´s almost funny when we point at the same thing.
My aunt loves this stuff, it´s "Havtorn" and it´s some kind of super-power berry. It taste really good!
This was just such a cute idea
 I just love this guys!
There wasn´t very many furniture and the ones that was there where 90% for the outdoors. But this set is just so chic, talk about bringing the inside out!

How ever I do have to say I was a bit let down with this fair, it was small and frankly I had thought it to be more home decor and landscaping and a bit less about books and food... (It´s not everyday I have anything bad to say about too much books & food) Any way there was some good stuff there but I do have to think twice before going next year...

Shabby-chic Banner

I love banners, just love them and the other day I made one for a card and them I was like; I want one. So I made one :)
The banner has 12 flags and is mad out of 6 12*12. I took and cut  the papers in half so I had 12 12*6. The I just folded them in half (so they become 6*6) and from the folded side I took a ruler and draw lines from the corners to the middle of the "open" side.
The I just glued them, I did leave space at the top so that the string can move. So the flags are not fixed on the string, this way you can move them if you want them to be tighter or father a part.
On one side of the banner a took tiny doily's and scraps cut to circuls and glued on.
I just love the colors and to bring out at birthdays or partys.

Christmas light

How is it that 24 days can go so fast? Trying to get all the presents, baking stuff and working... I think the only thing to do is to make December a red month.
Any how I have been working rather late, having riding lessons at the riding school so when I get home it´s pitch black. But with just a few lights the home goes from cold and dark to worm and inviting.

So here I my three tips.

have a pretty glass vase? Put some light in and at night it´s like firefly, so pretty!
So at the first of the advent we put up this stars for the first time and I just love it.
And speaking if love here are my lanterns that I just think is the prettiest. The more colors and and shapes you have the cozier the room gets. The shadows from the lanterns on the wall can change a room and even when you don´t have a candle in them they are still pretty.
So bring some light in now in the cold winter and sing some songs today to remember Lucia

A bit of nature

I love Christmas for so many reasons. One of them is this thing we do with bringing nature in to our homes. I mean I get that we have some flower or a pretty stone but a hole tree? How ever odd it is I love it and today I´m going to show you how to bring in a bit of nature, not a hole forest.

To make this you´ll need a glass (this used to be a candle  that I just cleaned out) , a elastic and some twigs.
Start of by breaking them in to the size that fits your glass. Mine are a bit taller then the glass. Then you put the elastic around the glass.
Now, put in the twigs one by one in the elastic.

To get that nature look I very the twigs, some small and some a bit thicker.

When the glass is covered you can take a fancy ribbon around to hide the elastic.
I just took this fabric, tore a strip and tied it around in a bow.
Really easy and looks great inside in the waiting for the Christmas tree.
