Home Sweet Home 12x12 home decor using Pink Paislee

A few month ago I made this 12x12 layout, inspired by a previous painting I had made and the paper piecing/ embroidery technique of Elsie. I picked the 6x6 paper pad from the "C'est la Vie" by Pink Paislee, love that line!  I love the colors and patterns of that line and they make beautiful houses!

After cuting out the shapes I stitched with matching colors and added a title; Hem Ljuva Hem, or as you might know it; Home Sweet Home.

I framed it with this black frame from Prima Marketing and it now hangs next to my desk so I can see it everyday! That colors are just so sweet and the stitching adds just a bit of texture.

Treasure Hunting & Crafting

Hello!
More treasure hunting this weekend. Today my sister, brother and my cousin Cajsa headed to a flea market hosted by the soccer team. I had never been before but heard such good things and it really was good! The plan was covered with tents, one for each category.

I got some really good stuff, like a wire basket, an archive-box,
vintage books and some sewing things.

And yes, that is a glass dish... filled with embroidererthread...
We then stopped at a second hand shop and I found muffins tray that I have been wanting for a long time and I was to happy to find a small one!
So tonight I just had to sit down and play! First was my long awaited tray:
I love how it turned out, I put the things I use all the time and the some cute ephemera that I usually store in boxes. I think I will use more of this cuteness now when I see it.
Next on my list was making some tiny tassels with the embroidery thread. I love doing this and they are so fun to use on layouts and projects.
 Such fun colors!
One of the things I was so exited about was a bag with old seam-binding and I just couldn't wait to try to spray with my Heidi Shines. They turned out so pretty. As a write this they still haven't dried but they are really shimmery.
Tried the Heidi Swapp thing with masking of to get a striped look and LOVE IT!! So cute. Here I used; Raspberry, Sweet Mint, Sweet Mint masked, Pink, Gold and Navy and Teal.

I just a such a great time and so fun to come home and just play messy hands and all!

Now it is late and time for bed!

2016 title page Flower-reef

Sometimes I get these idea parts in my head that I just have to act on. It can be text, colors or well anything really. They pop up and I can think about them for day before I decide what to do with them. That is how this page started, a color comb pop up in my head and after a few days I knew what to make...

I wanted a flower-reef of pink, lilac and coral flowers stitched on to the background. The stitching I did when I go home and it took a couple of days but looking at it now; so worth it!!

2016- memories, thoughts and lessons.

For the flowers I used 3 inks from "Umbrella Crafts": Coral, Lilac Lane & Princess Pink. I had some matching embroidery thread and then I added some gold. I really like how it turned out, many hours and I think it will look perfect in my album!

Hey Sötnosar 12x12 scrapbook using scraps

Do you have a place for yous scraps. Do you look there often or do you, like me, just put scraps there but hardly go through it? Is there stuff on your desk that you think "I'll use that next time..." but never use it. I'm so good at shuffling papers and moving thing to the other side.
I have now really made an effort to use my pretty things and to look into my scraps!

This page was made with a pile of scraps that just happened to end up in the same pile. I think it's really fun to go through and find unexpected colors and pattern combinations.

2 layouts inspired by JOT june board

I was so inspired by this months mood board by Jot I just had to make a layout, or two. I love the bright white, with bold black and a hint of green. I started making one page and then just kept going, using many ont the things I already had taking out.
The result, two bright pages with black accent and green details.

On both pages I used the nickel wood grained paper and the Brentano stamps for titles. For the circle element I used black and white enamel dots and the stripes are from my favorit washi.

I love that the Jot mood boards are so fun and different from the "normal" scrapbook style. They always find such interesting and cool color combinations. This board I will most definitely use again!

"Sitting in the flowers"-12x12 watercolor scrapbook

Every spring we go to a place where the ground is white, covered by vitsippor. We take the annual family photos and wonder over the beauty of the white flowers.

I took a photo of my sister and her boyfriend and painted a background, like the ground that they where sitting on. I stitched a title, added leaves for texture and gold for sparkle.
