Hello, project Cheval

Hello
Project Cheval, my attempt to do a 12*12 album just about how much I miss my old ponny. Well here is another layout. The album is actually coming together it´s just my lack of inspiration and love for my blog that hinders you from seeing it... How ever I´m here today to share the layout Hello and the process video for it
On this layout I started with a sand colored cardstock and some white paint through a Heidi Swapp stencil. I wanted a calm page but with allot of pattern, sound very logical right.
But by only having the pattern as a mat to this photo i work, well that and the fact that this photo is very calm and hardly as any colors. So that the papers and the photo doesn´t competes whit each other. The papers I used are from a Dear Lizzy 6*6 pad "Polka Dot Party"

There is not allot of embellishments on this page, just a few chipboard pieces from Crate Paper "Craft Market" and some word stickers from Maggie Holmes Confetti.

I really like how this page came together even though I can see some thing I would like to have done differently, like the price-ribbon... But on the hole I like it and now I want to get more sand colored cardstock!

Project Cheval part 3- Dream

Hello
I´m here with part 3 of project Cheval and this one is one of my favorite! I love this dreamy layout for tow reasons, the soft colors and the you are being pulled in. And because I keep dreaming about him and want to keep that dream feel in this album.

I love the glitter and vellum elements here to and to the dreamy feel. The colors are perfect and so easy to use.

Project Cheval Part 2- Forget Mej Ej

Hello!

I´m back with a Project Cheval layout. I really love doing this layouts, spending time with him and working with my "kit". Now as you can see in the intro I didn´t pick a big kit, but it´s great as an starting point. The Kiss Kiss chipboard and the Dear Lizzy Thickers are elements that i use on almost every page. In later layouts you´ll see me using different brands and collections but my goal for this album is to have fun and to have something to remember Cheval.

Soft, neutral and fresh. That was what I wanted for this and I really wanted a big part of that floral paper from Magnolia. The title is even based on that paper and I love how the soft blue helps the photo.
There is not much on this layout but I love this heart banner from the chipboard pack. It adds just that extra but it´s still neutral so it goes so well with my other colors.
All of the colors are so... nice and to humph up the contrast I used the tiny letters from Tim Holtz and a black washi tape. I love the softness of this layout but adding just a touch black makes it so much more interesting.

Project Cheval: part 1- Saknar Dig

Hello!
I have started a new project, an album about my pretty pony. He was an amazing pony and we where together for half of my life! So now I feel that I want to have an album just for him, about him. He is a big part of my previously albums but in this one I don´t want to focus on when or where. I want the story not how many procent we got on a competition. My plan is to take photo and use them as promts for telling our story.

The first layout I made is titled: Missing you
The story here is that after all of this years I still dream about him, and I wanted a page about that. That I´m still missing him. So I really wanted a dream like layout with soft colors and a hint of magic. Looking at it now; I´m so happy.
The elements I used I picked for there color and feel to go with my dreamy thought. The thickers from Dear Lizzy are just perfect with that sugared finish and the soft colors of the Kiss Kiss chipboard works a charm.
I added my journaling to a tag from the same paper-line though I wanted to keep the focus on that middle part and the kraft didn´t wokr as a background for the journaling.
The last thing I added was this tiny words from Tim Holtz. "you are home" This means that the kraft gets picked up, it creates an interest and not to mention very meaningful to me.
