Crazy Week

Okej everyone, this week has been very busy, we graduate in less then 2 weeks so there is allot to do. But believe me when I say that us horse girl have fun. So let jump in to my past week shall we.

When I got to Strömma in Monday one of our mare had foaled and beautiful baby girl, so far she is called Saga (Fairytale in Swedish)

This Tuesday we gave it another shot with the double bridle and Kasanova is still not all confident that it´s necessary but boy does hi move!

Wednesday we had our first aid training. As you probably know I´m in training to be a horse groom (well I suppose I´m done now) and to be that you have to have the first aid knowledge. It was allot of fun and the instructor painted us all up to look as do we´ve been in a accident, pretty cool right.

But I think Thursday was the most fun, because we got to skip class to go Gutenberg to look at Gutenberg horse show. And at euro horse I found this awesome bridle, something for Kasanvova maybe.

But the best of all was to see the best of the best doing what they do best, dance. Because that is what they do, they dance together and even my show jumper friends thought it amazing.

Kandar debut

So yesterday we had a dressage class and my instructor asked what we wanted to do. As a joke a said " rid with double bridle."(in Sweden this is called kandar) So that joke was on me because soon I sat on Kasanova with a kandar...

 Kasanova on the other hand did not appreciate the extra work and put up a real fight. But wow, the feeling when he move forward with true presser, such power. It was really cool and I hope that I get to ride with kandar ageing.

This was my first time and by the looks of it, Kasanovas to. The kandar has to reins and I only had pressure in the bridoon. The rein to the curb, I just held in, as I just said, my Kasanova did not really like to work with his back legs... As you may can see that I hold the whip a bit weird. Let me tell you something about Kasanova. He is not the one how think forward and need a bit help. He does not respond to normal helps. The only thing that makes him move is the sound of the whip, not the whip it self... weird horse. Any how so I hold it so I can whip it and make that sound. This is actually better because the whip never touches the horse. And as you can see, the technique works, he moves his legs really good.

Here I found a really good image of the double bridle. (Kandar) It is a bit intimidating and honestly I was a bit freak out when I put it on. But the things to remember is to take it easy and have a good instructor with you the first time. The biggest thing that I noticed is the pressure just by having the kandar on.

Muffins

So I just had to have something sweet, you know the feeling. But seens Easter is a long goner, so is all of the candy to. So I decaded to bake what you call cupcakes and what we in sweden call Muffins. Real simple and fast and so tasty.

Kersitn had to gard me and the muffins, from what I´m not
 really sure but how can say no to that face?

 Here is my recepi:
start with:
2 eggs
2 deceliter suger.
(whisp this two together to a white fluffy guo.)

Mix:
2 deceliter white flouer
1 tea spoon baking soda
2 tea spoons vanilla
4 tabel spoons cocoa
½ tea spoon salt.

When the mix is mixed then whisp it togheter with thw eggs and suger. Now poor 150g melted butter or margrin in to the mix. And now your done. But sometimes I poor in a ½ deceliter of unwhiped whipcream just to get that extra humf. Now bake in the middel of you owen at 175 gCelsius for 10- 15 minuts. Fast, easy and super tasy.

In the men time, the cat Tolos (of course named after aristiocats) took my elecrical heated blancet and did not move...

Spring cleaning

Spring cleaning, both love and hate it. Love how it looks and feels in the end, hate doing it... But today I did it... ( I had to do something else and all of a sudden it didn´t seem to bad cleaning...) Any how this is how it looked before and after.

 

 

 

I hope this will give you some sort of inspiration and knowing that my room looks way worse then yours... So in short this is what I do when I "clean" in general.

1. Put all the dirty or semi dirty cloths in the lundryroom.
2. Throw away all the crap and stuff you just don´t use, this goes for clothes too... But if they are okej, give them to someone how will use them.
3. Vacuum.
4. change sheets, curtains and I also change the place of my lanterns.
5. When spring/ fall cleaning I try to change my wardrobe. The cloth that is more summery comes forward now and back in September. This saves allot of wardrobe space if you like me have a small one.
6. One last tip is to take one place at the time or it´s easy to get overwhelmed. Start with the desk, then the bed and then the wardrobe. You get the picture. And the good thing about this is if you don´t finish it all in one day you can at last say that the desk is clear.

And I know I have spelled the word Before wrong, but it´s all right because I have some form of dyslexia so I can blame it on that ;)

Sneak a Peak

So it´s April and it´s means it´s just one month left in school!  Well it´s a bit bitter sweet feeling thinking about the future. It´s hard to get a job period and with out experience it´s even harder. The other day my dear friend sad that I should open a etsy store. So I did, I´ve jet to decide the details but I wanted to shear a sneak peak of what will be in the store.
